I think others that don't like this movie either were expecting a space movie (like I was) or didn't take the time to absorb the story. Without giving away anything, it wasn't a story about space. It was a story that takes place in space. I think Brad Pitt did an excellent job, as well as the brief moments we see Tommy Lee Jones. So what I tell my friends is that it's a good drama with a side of science fiction. 😊

Was it really almost 3hrs? I couldn't tell. I liked it! Maybe not as much as the first one and I can't say I was really scared at any point. It was more funny than scary but I think for a sequel it did a good job.
