I feel like this show does a somewhat okay job at depicting modern teen life. Although I understand that it is dramatic, I appreciate how they don’t over do the slang and know what it means. In most shows depicting modern teen life (especially on Netflix) I feel like they don’t really know how or why the words work, or just over use them. I feel like this show does a good job using modern slang in a somewhat non-cringy way. I also am kind of happy the show isn’t a reboot, it is somewhat fresh and new and it helped me get involved with the show. I think the humor in this show is pretty funny, I loved the relationship between Georgia and her co-worker. There conversations are so funny and probably one of the highlights of the show. The only reason I don’t give this show 5 stars is because it’s not fantastic, and I think Marcus needs to wash his hair. The show does fall down some common tropes, especially with the relationships, but overall I think it’s a pretty good show.
