The movie does the original no justice. First off were is the father he is a integral part of the story. Second cindy lou sounds like a 11 year old boy not a sweet little girl. The grinch is just mean to be mean no humor or original thoughts to his actions I could tell what he was going to do before he did it. The Jim Carey grinch is 1000x better in every way conceivable. This grinch lacks personality or even likability.
