What can I say about Uncut gems? Or should I call it uncut logs because this film is a steaming pile of dung! I wanted to enjoy this film believe me but I knew very quickly that I wasn't going to. You know you're in trouble when KG is the best actor on the set....I wouldn't say that to his face however. Let's start with Adam Sandler. What the heck is with his fake teeth? Completely unnecessary and distracting. He's shouting and swearing the entire film. The dialogue between characters is unrealistic and seems to have been thrown together like a stoners grade 9 essay on the great Gatsby the night before it's due. The director failed to capture the raw reality of gambling addiction. This movie is so far removed from any real life scenario that it may as well be one long dream sequence or in my mind an unending nightmare! Enjoy!
