Since have watched ‘Jai Bhim’. I was impressed with the performances and the cinematic approach to a real life case inspired by Retd. justice Chandru's book 'Listen to My Case! When Women Approach the Courts of Tamil Nadu'. I am n’t intending to write a review here, but was stuck with the stark reality of how far the basic Institutions of Governance, Police, Justice, Media have eluded away from the common man's reach and no questions worked at.
It isn’t anything new, but the movie repeats the thought to recognise in at least case, how much loss and disadvantage we all are in the absence of access to these institutions. The man’s inhabitant instinct is so busy about the comforts of life, haven’t bothered to realise the vacuum of inaccessibility and importantly this isn’t limited to oppressed sections alone .
The NOW-Demanding Generation from a digital experience to hiring cab and a purchase to delivery to communication has no iota of exposure to this grave social disaster we have carved for ourselves. In times when we ‘re aiming to access 10-minute grocery deliveries, imaginative space travel rides, lavish celebrations and working to make Mars as our next home, seems no awareness on how getting justice is an astronomical feat to seek.
