Before talking about the show itself (skip two paragraphs), a big audience complaint is that the show strays too far away from traditional Greek myths, and in honesty, this is accurate, however, it also ends up benefitting the viewer and the show's plot. To progress the plot, fictional interpretation and stories of characters must be created rather than recreating material straight from Greek myths. Zeus is portrayed a lot more positive than in his written counterpart, which is not accurate, however, a Zeus that constantly was evil and showed zero emotion would certainly not be enjoyable to watch, and does not benefit the show nor the viewer in terms of plot.
The same concept, which is to interpret characters in forms that could be seen elsewhere applies to other characters. For example, Ares who is typically portrayed in Athenian myths as everything short of his role but in the show portrayed as much more fitting "god of war" that would better represent his worship in Northern Greece/Sparta.
Personally, the show had various inconsistencies that it needed to solve, mainly through the hard use of plot armor and variability of power in characters. Sometimes, gods would be seen as invincible whereas others seemed to be weak and frail. There also seemed to be many "filler" characters, that served no real purpose (and personally I felt to be boring) but to show that the protagonist had people he cared about, which is extremely difficult to do in 8 episodes.
The inconsistencies continue with the voice acting, which made it seem like a traditional American hero show, rather than a fictional representation of Greek legends, however, this was a minor inconvenience. The art-style was excellent while the animation was average at best. However, in both these aspects, it was noticeable that depending on the characters on screen, some scenes were spectacular while others seem to get half the work.
On the contrary, there were good aspects. For a viewer who adores gore and various fight scenes, the show is plentiful in these, and while there are emotional and more solemn scenes, they constantly tend to get overshadowed by the former.
The show is in no way "bad", but it certainly isn't a must-watch not due to its inaccuracies in Greek myths, but rather the lack of interest in any other field.
