A lot of thoughtful and thought provoking content— a delight and pleasure to watch and to savour ,and to dissect ,analyse and evaluate the issues presented and played out in the storyline. The acting is flawless.... as it is in most Korean drama. I am totally in love with Korean culture ,Korean TV and Netflix series , Korean food , Korean language ....you name it ... if it’s Korean I love it and respect it and honour it .... There is a charm and magic and profound philosophical awareness in and about it all : why did it take us so long in the West to see all these treasures of and in the East.....

Totally enthralling, informative , captivating ,entertaining ,beautifully acted and well constructed, persuasive drama ... Korean cinematography and acting and filmic presentation at its best. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this brilliant series.

Very interesting ,engaging story — the profundity and wisdom of the narrative unfolds slowly ... so it’s worth staying with it .

Excellent production -- in all respects : the acting is superb--- everything flows , makes sense : in short -- I am glad the cast and the production team made the effort to create this fascinating series. Definitely full marks ! Bravo --- et mille bonnes choses !

"Davlatov ", what an amazing and impressive "film experience"-- it was revelatory , informative, amusing and also deeply moving . It had the quality of a Tarkovsky masterpiece--- but definitely stands on its own as a beautiful work of art . I would like to recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the travails of a truly humane ,human being in insanely difficult ,trying times----- difficulties and trials created by us : other human ( not necessarily humane ) beings .-- The film provides a lot of "food for thought ". ( Go feed on it .....) In a way the film illustrates in a wry ,ironic, but trenchant way Sartre's statement : " L'enfer ,c'est les autres ..." Thank you Netflix for making this film possible.
