The horror the horror! Boring and shouty. silly, self indulgent adaptation full of trivial gimmicks. One long sour characature; ruins Dickens. Snapshots of some good acting so what a waste of a good caste but much of the casting was ridiculous. There is a love story in the book but there was no chemistry in this film. Heap and Trottwood performances stood out amidst the carnage and Mr Whitfield. A pantomine for small children only and adolescent film reviewers. Score is generous but gives a nod to some decent acting through this horror film.
