the AMC adaptation of the book is very loosely based on the original story. So many changes and restructuring of the written story are made in this tv show that I cannot truly say that those of us who enjoyed Joe Hill's works could consider this his works. If you are just looking for a good story and do not expect it to be the one in the book, you will enjoy it. Read the book for the amazing original by a great writer.
