If I’m not mistaken this show hit the screens in 2013 and it’s now 2024. From what I’ve seen so far this show is as good as it gets great acting, great storyline, great photography well worth watching.

This film, directed by George Miller of mad Max fame was in my opinion brilliant. It didn’t do all that well at the Box Office because it is quite a peculiar film but it fascinated me. The stars Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba were suoerb.

This is a special movie which touches on the lives of three of the greatest novelist of the 20th century. The central character is writer Thomas Wolfe and the famous editor Maxwell Perkins who makes him a star in the in the literary firmament. This movie may be too wordy and sophisticated for many viewers, but for readers and thinkers it’s one of the best films they’ll ever see,

Not much. Great cast! Should have been brilliant. It was bad. I turned it off pretty early into the piece. Then again that’s just my view.

This is a new film (2023) and it is refreshingly good. It’s a courtroom drama but so much more than that. Jamie Foxx not only stars in the show as a flashy but ultimately loveable lawyer, he also owns the company that made the movie and he brings back to the screen Tommy Lee Jones as the client to his lawyer. I haven’t seen Tommy Lee in a big movie for years and he is as strong and as good as ever. This film is an Amazon original so it may not make it to the cinemas, but it should. The story is powerful, the cast is great without exception, and the quality of the photography and the direction seems to me to be flawless.

This is hard to watch in many ways, and it’s equally hard to believe that the American justice system in this case was so violently corrupt. It’s the story about an innocent man who is accused of being involved in the 9/11 Bin Laden led event, with no evidence to prove it. He was held, tortured and deprived of any human dignity in Guantánamo Bay for 7 years, until finally a team of lawyers break through the system and win a release order for him, but President Obama rescinds it and sends him back into that torture chamber for another seven years. A weak and cowardly thing for a President under pressure to do. It’s a fine film.

This is a heartwarming film, and as usual, Tom Hanks does a wonderful job of acting playing a human being who is challenged. Some viewers may see it as a bit corny, but I think most people will feel really good after seeing it and like me will give it three of four stars. Maybe more if it’s tugging at your heart.

The film looked good …at first. Big stars, a plot that looks like it might be intriguing, fast moving action … and then belief is suspended as the plot becomes too convoluted and the actors who seemed so strong somehow become weak. Disappointing because it could and should have worked.

Wannabe reviewers who I call reel wreckers, are ruining the film industry. They’ve now roasted Bad Samaritan, so I’m saying it’s well worth watching. The plot may may have been plotted before, what plot hasn’t, especially in this genre. It’s cleverly filmed, It’s got good actors, its good to watch and Tennant is terrific not terrible as stated in the twaddle I’ve read in other reviews . I give it 4 stars.
