The game was developed by Darkflow Software, the same people who were behind CRSED and this game was quite a massive step-up from that game in my opinion, and is quite amazing with what they have done. The movement is accurately portrayed by the development team, even more so than most shooters you would find on the market that you have to pay actual money for. Switching guns is very awkward due to the fact that all animations concerned with movement are prioritized over the actual gun switching.
The squads become more annoying to deal with because of those reasons and are more of a way to waste your time and disturb your focus because they just can’t defend themselves and without serious supervision, your men will stand outside the building you’re trying to create a defensive position in and get sniped as free kills.
Now we get to the main issue, it’s called balance, now balancing a game requires a lot of effort I get that, but, they could’ve at least field tested a lot of the stuff they put in the game. Bomber planes are fast, tough and they effectively have bombs the size of small nukes, you want to try and destroy one? Good luck with that, they fly faster than most fighter planes you have access to at the early stages of the game.
These issues make it pretty hard to call it a great game one month after release and I wouldn’t encourage you to spend money on it due to the amount of pain the game will put you through. I wouldn’t consider myself the type of person to get angry at a game, but this game did it I’m not even going to lie to you, it’s very frustrating to play and it gets real annoying real fast. That was my experience anyway and that’s why I rated it how I did.
It has plenty of room for improvement and maybe then I’ll change my review at some point, but, for now, this is just what I have to rate it.
Don’t get me wrong the game has good qualities but in its current state just go play Heroes and Generals instead, which, while it has less realism, it's much more balanced and won’t make you pull your hair out.
