As an american who did not grow up jewish but my grandfather was, i wanted to know more about his religion, growing up he did not talk about being hasidic orthodox jew at all, at some point he left and married my grandmother who was catholic. My dad is also not jewish he joined my grandmothers religion. We did celebrate the major holidays with him, passover and Hanukhah i quite enjoyed them. I stumbled upon this show one night as i had just finished watching the four part series UNORTHODOX. I thought i would give this a try. i really like the dynamic of the family life and twists the writers have on every corner for these characters. i also got to learn some yiddish which my grandfather tried to teach me but never had the patience for. i really hope they can resume production on season 3 i cant wait to see if KIEVE gets married poor guy!
