Is it a good film? Yes. Is it a great film? No but it wants you to think it is. The biggest downside is Leonardo diCaprio hopelessly miscast, supposedly aging from 26 to 42 during the film but looking like a 50 year old throughout (especially in Arthur Dents dressing gown, if you get the Hitchikers reference).He gives a decent performance despite that drawback. Sean Penn as Steve Lockjaw is superb. Benicio Del Toro is underused and the movie goes for street cred with Teyana Taylor, Junglepussy and Dijon all featuring. The film is long and the dischordant incidental music is at times frankly awful. It all felt as if the Director was trying just a little too hard to make the kind of 'look at me' statement that Tarantino made with Pulp Fiction.

Elizabeth Moss is sensational and makes the series what it is. Some of the plotting and script do border on cliche but it just does enough to rise above the ordinary. James Purefoy turns in a lovely little cameo on the way too. It set itself up for Veil 2 without leaving too many threads dangling.

Formulaic stock characters, the now rather hackneyed style breaking down the 4th wall, occasional overdose of saccharine.....and despite ALL that, its one of the best laugh-out loud comedies on air at present. Smart scripts, smartly-delivered, and enough gross-out medical jokes to satisfy both British and American tastes.

A deliciously dark comedy thriller. Liam Neeson plays it straight as his usual vengeful everyman but all around him, bodies pile up like in a Coen Brothers movie directed by Quentin Tarantino.

It has the feel of early season The Walking Dead and pulls some of the same stunts, right down to a sheriff who is a composite of Rick and Morgan! It certainly has potential!

One of the worst films I've ever seen! A discordant soundtrack, camerawork out of 10,000 music videos, storyline out of a soap opera, it tries to be deep and meaningful but just comes across as disjointed and fragmented. This is a film that is less than the sum of its parts, and those parts aren't that good in the first place.

Disturbing to see the power and control that one man can have. Uncomfortable viewing but compulsory.
