This film is a mashup of silliness and potential realistic storyline. It lacks finesse like the Pink Panther movies. I like the actors except Bryce doesn’t quite fit her role. I like her done up as a blonde but something has been done with the camera filter when it’s on her face. She’s not that young and spry and the role calls for someone like that. Playing a slightly frumpy spinster novelist was okay, but when the role called for her character to exhibit physical abilities, it just didn’t work. Rockwell’s role needed someone more athletically built to pull off the fighting scenes, though I like him as an actor. All of the other actors did okay and the storyline had something to it. It just wasn’t executed well. Someone’s vision of what this movie was supposed to be about lost it. I would have cut 15 minutes out of it too.

The first film in the franchise is the best. Chris Pratt seemed off in this film. He lost his boyish humor in this final film, which is sad. He was actually a minor character in the storyline, which made it possible for the other characters to have more development, especially Rocket. The storyline is okay, but the bad guy is over the top in his villainy. The soundtrack is the worst of the three films but is still okay to listen to. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. There’s an undercurrent message about messing with Mother Nature that I appreciated. AI Is bringing about humanity’s doom.

There’s an undertone of uncertainty and maybe a tinge of sadness at the circumstances so many Americans live with in their nomadic lifestyle choices. It will likely draw out deeper emotions from the Baby Boomer crowd. Go see it, regardless of your age (not for those under 20).

The clothing is richly made and the best part of the film. The father figure role is hardly included, which is a mistake. His character appears somewhat nonsensical. I kept wishing someone would cut and comb out the guy’s hair and help his character exude more sophistication and maturity. He seemed to show up in many scenes just to say his lines without much involvement in his character’s role. Emma’s perfect corkscrew curls were a distraction. It was not possible to embrace her character as a worthy human being for much of the film. The supporting characters were more interesting to watch and the privacy screens were cleverly used as a prop. I gave it two out of five stars.😮
