His well-reasoned arguments, great examples & analogies, discussion of how 'human nature' keeps us from being as generous as we should to those outside our circle, & other social science findings, all made this book an incredible delight to me, someone who thinks twice about every dollar I spend, remembering the global poor I've seen & met in travels thru Asia... Plus just the fact of discovering this wonderful thinker who is contributing so much to public discourse about the problems of our day! Wish I had time to make a project out of reading a lot of his other books!
