To be honest, I'd give this a 4.7. Ultimately, it's rounded to a 5. This is an excellent anime! The first few episodes were the best. They gave off a more 'horror' feeling. I actually watched this with my family member, and on episode 3 she was so shocked that she literally swore aloud about it, and she never swears! When the show progresses and you start learning about what's going on, it loses its horror feeling and becomes more of a thriller-slasher. However, it remains an amazing anime. It's also binge-worthy. I don't really like binging shows, but this one had me so hooked that I couldn't help myself!
I am a music lover. If you're like me, you know that in any show, movie or video game, good music is recognizable because it tends to stick with you. Not only does the OST from Another do so, but it's just so... So perfect! Please give the full OST a listen on YouTube! Even the opening and ending is great!
Yes, to those wondering, this anime is like Final Destination, but better.
When it comes to the negative reviews, I truly don't understand why people complain about there being so many 'holes' in the plot. The creators of Another aren't idiots. These 'holes' are things for you to figure out on your own. I personally do not like it when people demand answers to everything. They need to recognize that it's their decision for what these 'holes' mean, and the 'holes' don't even really affect the plot. Please do ignore the harsh reviews. I mean, it's perfectly fine for you to dislike this anime, but I recommend at least give it a try. Even though it's quite scarce, there is some decent comic relief in a couple of episodes that I massively enjoyed.
Not recommended for audiences under the age of 13!
