Balances all tones perfectly. Dark yet also doesn’t shy away from being comedic, sad but you can find joy in it. Just finished watching and I gotta say it’s one of the best superhero movies (animated or not) period. There are a few things I wish they had done better like killing off more people (you’ll understand towards the end) and Darkseid’s strength is a little all over the place but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Just me being picky haha. This was the last DC animated movie in this continuity and so it gave them freedom to do anything and that they weren’t playing around; what we got in the end was a great story. Don’t ever write reviews at all but this definitely a must-watch for DC fans and a satisfying conclusion to the DCAU.
