It’s such a divergence from the original series. The only things this show shares from the books are names and who the Dragon is. As a fan of the series it’s hard to watch as they do nothing to show the eminent threat of the Dark One, aside from the less than scary trolloc army that followed them for a few episodes. Lots of gaps in the plot and too much Nyneave time. I’d stick with the books if you want a real story about Robert Jordan’s world. Edit: Lowering to 1 star after watching some episodes over hoping that I missed some things. Nope. Didn’t. Second viewing even worse for episodes 6 and 7. So much of the show is just made up story and sitting at 7 hours in clocks in at almost half of the audible book of the Eye of the World. Remove the written descriptions of settings and you could have easily fit the story within the 8 hour mark. Easily. What a waste. 1 star. I’d give it zero if I could.
