I have been enjoying the early evening news shows for many decades. NBC has been a particular favorite of mine for a variety of reasons. My comment now is praise for Lester Holt, again for a variety of reasons, BUT what's become important to me - and annoying to me - is that the current news commentators report as though going to a fire rather than reporting in a calm, clear manner...as did the top reporters many decades ago. Leslie is the only one - and I do channel surf - who comes close to presenting calmly and professionally rather than acting frantic about it all. Please, please, don't let him go anywhere. He sets the standard. He should be an example to the rest. Hopefully.
