I watched... Marakkar - Arabikadalinte Simham !! The movie is slow. But I did not feel any big lag, because when you start feeling a lag, the creators show you why that scene was placed. All scenes are absolutely required. Visuals were absolutely amazing, especially when considering the budget. VFX and camera works were heavy. - Sidharth Priyadarshan and team😍😍 Art direction and sets were so apt and magnificent!! Sabu Cyril😍😍 Action choreography too was very nice!! Arjun, Jay J and Lalettan.😍😍 BGM and songs was very good and the mixing was superb. Rahul Raj; Ankit Suri; Lyell Evans Roeder; Ronnie Raphael (Songs)😍 Renjith Viswanathan (songs) Rajakrishnan (Film )😍 Story was simply straight forward but detailed and hence the movie was a tad slow. Screenplay was done well, but it couldn't give enough goosebumps to the audience. Maybe a bit more mass elements could have elevated this part. There were a few scenes which did give goosebumps. But movie was not treated as mass. Editing was one thing the movie seemed to have struggled with, which did affect the continuity at some places. It could be due to their efforts to trim down the movie, which still was approximately 3 hours. Performance wise, all actors did their part well! Pranav Mohanlal , Arjun, Siddique, Hareesh Peradi, Asok Selvan, and Jay J were the best of the rest!! Lalettan( Mohanlal ) was just WOW!! That screen presence!! Those eyes!! My verdict: A decent script elevated by outstanding visuals, magnificent VFX, realistically detailed arts, commendable stunt choreography, top class BGM and backed by superb performances culminated into a class movie! My rating: 4.5/5(extra 0.25 for the quality of the making) A great work from the whole team! Watch it for the visual extravaganza. Don't compare with big Hollywood movies...yes some scenes were inspired from famous Hollywood movies, but then most movies have it. Celebrate it for the achievement that it is!! Watch it in a good Theatre!!
