The last episode, 10/18/19, had an egregious error...one of many this show makes about the Catholic Church. On the show a retired FBI Special Agent is involved in a mercy killing of his very I'll wife. In the course of the investigation, it is determined that he confessed his deed to his priest. Jamie responds that the agent condemned himself in the after life. Frank states that the shenton has to confess so his wife could be buried in the Catholic Church, implying that if it had been suicide, the wife would have been denied Catholic burial.
Both Frank and Jamie are both so wrong...suicides are not denied Catholic burial and having confessed the husband would not be condemned in the afterlife...the whole point of confession is to experience forgiveness.
I really hope the show gets a good ecvlesial consultant.
