So dumb! At first I thought it was going to be good. After some episodes it felt like Dynasty, but it takes itself seriously. She is always running around in high heels, so funny. We are supposed to like her, she is extremely unlikable. So many TV Tropes. It is filmed beautifully. After awhile it becomes too much to watch, it made me tired.

This is a horrible film, subject is interesting but, it is flat and lifeless. The sets are bad, the jail cell looks like cardboard. I guess the stylists are not well informed about the 40s. Williams can't act, she has no expression or the same one throughout the film. What black stuff is on her eyelids????? No character development, no tears, no expression, and what is LaLa doing in the court room 🤣. Oh yes, Emmet put her there. Pacino, what is he doing? It's comical.

I watched this because I like this genre, but Sam Trammel's acting was annoying. The plot is ridiculous, I found it hard to have a suspension of disbelief. The creepy guy was all too familiar, again the acting. I thought the rest of the actors okay. Maybe the direction was off or the writing. I am not sure. The town is nameless I found that annoying too. Another thing these characters attend church every Sunday, it felt a bit hokey. These people do not go to church. Felt so fake. If this is a limited series the ending was horrible.
