Although it’s a spin off of 10 Miles of Peach Blossom, it’s still pale in comparison. The chemistry between Ling Xi and Jiu Chen aren’t as prominent and strong as Ye Hua and Su Su. Without having to do much Ye Hua was able to convey his feelings for Su Su in such a natural way that you can’t help but melt every time they’re in a scene together. Unfortunately, Jiu Chen wasn’t able to deliver this type of chemistry with Ling Xi in this drama. And to make matters worst, the colors and style of his clothing didn’t help either. It just makes him a lot older, cold, and grumpy. It doesn’t do justice to his character.
