One of the funniest movies ever. The put ons and the play on other cowboys stories, the idea of having a black sheriff, M. Kahn as the Marlene Dietrich madame . . .OMG. This film gets funnier every time I see it and makes me miss all the actors who have passed away since then. I knew Andy Bergman slightly and was in college with him and he was terrifically clever and a talented writer at that time: the creator of The Stepping on the Coat Ceremony which marked the “official” end of winter when you could discard wearing your winter coat. Of course, you couldn’t because it was still likely to be cold as eff and might snow, but it was fun to think you didn’t have to wear it. :)))
