I will preface my review by saying that I am for Democrat politics - especially towards the ideals of Obama. On the plus side it is exceptionally well written book. However, Obama comes across as disingenuous, and vain. It was littered with platitudes, and often very self-congratulatory. Further, it was filled with shots at political rivals, on both sides of the aisle. My big takeaway from the book is that Obama will remain in politics. Additionally, I don’t think the books portrayal as “an intimate memoir”, is in anyway deserved - for the reasons stated above.
