200+ hours in the game. Much like its predecessors in the franchise, it is a beautifully realized and well-crafted world, very fun to explore. It recaptures that classic exhiliration of having to run from obnoxiously overlevelled alpha monsters in early game areas you have to explore, to the vindictive glory of returning later on and stuffing their own heads down their necks when you outlevel them.
I have to deduct a star though, because the 'gatcha' system you're stuck with for unlocking the unique blades, is absolutely horrible tedium. You won't be able to put time into unlocking them all with the best odds and resources available until you're well into the post-game, and at that point, you won't even feel like using them. I really hope whatever's next from these developers doesn't have a lousy unlock system like this.
