If you can get past the gratuitous violence and blue language, and you can tolerate a story where all the main characters are essentially bad guys ( I mean, they murder someone every week), this is a beautiful series. Costner is giving a legendary performance as John Dutton that reverberates on many levels, if you can get past the crimes committed in service of the plots. The season 4 finale works fine for me, and leaves plenty of unfinished business for season 5.
Prediction: Dutton gets elected and ultimately works toward ceding much of the ranch land to nearby native American tribes who originally owned that land, in order to preserve its natural state forever.
Kudos to Wes Bentley for not busting out laughing > like when Jamie got on his knees to beg Beth....
