Thr high ratings of this movie reveals the reviewers' abysmal ignorance of the Vietnam War. At least R. Lee Ermey (RIP) made sure some of the technical details were right. I'm sure some West Pointers are unhappy with the somewhat accurate depiction of how influence affects assignments.
