I read "Maus" in college. Now that I teach history at a community college in Texas, I am assigning "Maus" in response to the school board in Tennessee that banned the book earlier this week. We need more education on the Holocaust, not less. Yes, sections of "Maus" are upsetting to read, but what do you think the Holocaust was, a tea party?
