My mind was absolutely BLOWN during this documentary when the juror from R. Kelly’s trial was interviewed. He decided to vote not guilty because he just “didn’t like those girls- the way they dressed...” That man had an obligation to society, R Kelly was CLEARLY guilty, and because of a rape-culture of “she’s dressed like that, she was asking for it,” Kelly was acquitted and a free man. If just THAT juror’s statement isn’t evidence of just how much race has played a role in Kelly’s victims being ignored- nothing is.
