Among my top five all-time favorite live-action Disney movies. Wonderful performances from the 1950's Hollywood era legendary actors, Kirk Douglas, James Mason, and Peter Lorre. My only regret was never getting to see it on the big screen, as it released 10 yrs. before my birth. But it says a lot to fall in love with a movie aired occasionally on NBC's Wonderful World of Disney on a non-color television. Eventually, the family got a floor model color TV, which made the next time Disney aired the movie even more special. Honestly, I won't watch any other adaptation of this classic. Mason as Captain Nemo and Kirk as Ned were both my heroes in this movie. You'll discover this is a fantastic gem in Disney's vault of magic. True Disney magic that has been missing today.
