Having read the other reviews, I have to agree with the most common crtitism aka this movie's resemblance to other apocalyptic horror pieces such as birdbox and a quiet place. Although what I want to mention in this review is how poorly thought out the storyline can seem to be at times. Starting out with the decision to flee from the house in a loud mobile engine to... nowhere specific, not that I recall? while of course taking the dog, as if the car wasn't loud enough. This seemed like a recipe for catastrophe but an easy way to thicken the plot. Overall, the movie seems cliché due to its similarity with other movies as mentioned earlier and its lack of any new element that makes it stand out from them.
