Basket Brain

Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a movie I have been excited for and anticipating for 2 years, and I can gladly say that this movie well exceeded my expectations and then some! One thing I liked was that this movie did what a movie sequel should do which most sequels fail to accomplish. It builds off of the first film by expanding the world and the characters and introduces new and fun characters. They were also great in the character screen time by adding more characters from the Sonic video games and giving them a bulk of the screen time and giving the human characters who were not as important a diminished role but one that still keeps them relevant. They also have mastered the art of keeping hype around them and their movies at all times with their post credit scenes. While I was very excited after the one in the first movie, my hype after the post credit scene in this one was 10x as much compared to the first. Overall, this was an absolutely phenomenal movie that shows what video game movies are truly capable of being when a conceited amount of effort is put in. I'm only 2 days removed from seeing this movie and I'm extremely pumped for Sonic 3. A great movie I would recommend to everyone!

While the message is good and it’s good for kids, from an adults perspective I find it way too upbeat and overall annoying to watch and listen to. But I do understand that it is a kids movie so it’s more catered to them.
