"The Deuce" is a television series masterpiece filled with cinematic excellence, painstakingly detailed design elements, a great soundtrack, and brutally honest acting, with a profound, elegiac tone. The plot returns us to the time that the 70's gave way to the 80's and the familiar territory of the corrupt transaction and its place in human nature. Moreover, it is a great antihero drama that plays out a tale of moral instruction, but in reverse. How could we not be interested and still call ourselves human?
