This film was an absolute gem to watch. Over three hours long which flew by. I didn't look at the clock once. I was enjoying it so much. So many different elements to the story. Two young friends playing pilots. Obviously that is their future. Joining the Army together. One falling in love. Goes away on a mission, leaving girlfriend and friend. News received - missing - believed dead. Girlfriend and friend distraught. Fell in love. Wonderful whirlwind romance. All accompanied by the magical soundtrack. Boyfriend returns. Pearl Harbor attacked by the Japanese. The friends joined forces in their attack. Both later sent on a mission of revenge where Danny is fatally wounded. His friend told him he's going to be a Father. Danny replied 'No, you are'.
