To be perfectly honest I didn't have high expectations for this film there were somewhat high. When I finally saw it in theaters opening weekend I truly believed it was a worthy sequel to the first two films. The original ghostbusters is one of my favorite films of all time and now that we have this one it is almost as good. I liked how in this sequel they started giving us a new set of characters in this coming of age story and yes it does feel a little slow in the first act but I didn't really mind because it is just a minor complaint. Phoebe Spengler is hands down the standout of the film by giving an excellent performance start to finish and she does look like a mini Egon. The rest of the cast is good as well. If your a lifelong ghostbusters there is nostalgia in this sequel that you will really enjoy. I realize there is a lot of fan service in the film and that's not gonna sit well with everyone, but I did like the fact they did included fan service even if there is a lot of it. Seeing the familiar faces was a real blast from the past and people who thoroughly enjoy the original films or just the first one probably will agree. The way they commemorated Harold Ramis was handled so nicely and I was really hoping he was gonna appear in the film posthumously in some way and he does in the video clips and photos from the original films. My favorite part of the film is gonna have to be the third act battle because it's the most memorable and emotional. So for the fans or lifelong ghostbusters fans of the franchise I would highly recommend checking this movie out.

I don't give a damn what anybody else says. I am positive on this movie every time I rewatch it but if I had to choose between the theatrical cut or the extended cut i would choose the extended one because it makes more sense. But despite that the action sequences, the visual effects, and the performances of Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot makes me thoroughly enjoy both versions. I fully understand that the plot can be convoluted and messy but I do think this is a better movie than Suicide Squad. Now not everyone is going to like Zack Snyder as a director but I quite frankly I believe he does a pretty good job on almost every movie he does. My personal favorite parts of the film are the justice league setup scene, the chase sequence which leads to batman and superman confronting each other for the first time, the warehouse scene where batman gives the henchman a beating, wonder woman's entrance, bruce wayne running through metropolis during the destructive battle between superman and general zod, batman and supermans fight with each other showing what they are capable of, and the coolest part the fight with doomsday. Ben Affleck's batman is a close second favorite of mine only behind Christian Bale's batman. My only problem with the film was Jesse Eisenberg's portrayl of Lex Luthor. He wasn't that menacing and was pretty annoying at times. I honestly thought the death of superman worked out nicely. This film isn't for everyone but it will be in one of my top favorite DC films of all time. Score 9/10
