This is a book that informed, warmed and impressed me with a story combining love, sadness, and gardening! It tells of the experiences of a mother and daughter, the former reliving her experiences as a journalist during the Romanian dictatorship, and the aftermath of the fall of the dictator. She witnessed the horror and inhumanity of the orphanages.
Her daughter, adopted as a child from one of the orphanages lives a secure and loved life. Gardening becomes her passion and her blog attracts a large following. The story of her struggle to overcome agaraphobia and to understand it's source, is depicted with understanding,
strength, and unexpected love. I highly recommend this to all readers.
