While it’s a shame the human characters continue to weigh down the MonsterVerse (here more so than ever) and the film feels too rushed, Godzilla vs. Kong certainly packs a Titan-sized punch in regards to its promise of spectacular, pulse-pounding action and beautiful, artistic visuals. (79/100)

'Cruella' is one of Disney’s edgiest films to date, inventing a compelling origin story set in a fantastically-realized 1970s London, while spotlighting exquisite costume design/makeup and superb performances by its two wickedly delightful leading ladies. Bad never has looked so good, darling! (88/100)

While far from a bad film (or the worst entry to this series), 'Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw' is a spin-off that unfortunately fails to live up to the hype promised in its trailers. Most of the loud, over-the-top action and stunts prominent in the franchise are replaced by two action stars running their mouths far too much, and a script that doesn’t know if it wants to be 'Fast & Furious', 'Mission: Impossible', or 'James Bond'. Frankly, a better title would have been "The Fast Tempered and the Furious Insults: HOBBled Together & SHAWed Off". (72.5/100)

Mortal Kombat successfully offers some over-the-top violence, interesting character choices and acting, and (mostly) well-crafted costume designs; however, it largely and sadly squanders the majority of its cast through poor realization, massive downgrading of key characters, and gutting the rich history established by the videogame franchise. In other words, the skeleton of the Mortal Kombat lore is there, but all the organs are missing. (64.25/100)

Unlike its tragically butchered theatrical cut, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is an epic that is lovingly crafted with complex depth, satisfying character arcs, and brilliantly-realized performances. This masterpiece of filmmaking showcases what a truly visionary director Snyder is, and richly rewards devoted fans with a genuine Justice League story and layered world-building that begs for continuation. (97.5/100)

There are two very different, opposing takeaways from Walt Disney’s remake of 'Mulan'. From a filmmaking perspective, while it suffers some pacing issues and doesn’t really expand upon the original animation’s narrative, it ultimately succeeds in crafting a bold, aesthetically-pleasing take on the beloved Chinese folktale. However, through a real-world lense, it must be noted that the company’s behind-the-scenes willingness to kowtow to the present-day Chinese regime whilst overlooking their atrocities (i.e., the location of filming being near mass internment camps) severely dilutes and harms the film’s impact/credibility. (86.25/100)

Dark, violent, and (at times) difficult to watch, 'Joker' delivers a brutal warning to current society through masterful commentary, striking realism, and a breathtakingly brilliant performance by Joaquin Phoenix. (93.75/100)

A perfect tone, ingenious storytelling, and flawless acting (with a standout performance by Heath Ledger as The Joker) make 'The Dark Knight' both the pinnacle of Batman in film and one of the best movies ever made. (98/100)

Master mo-cap actor Andy Serkis proves his immense skill both in front of and behind the camera in 'Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle', a more faithful adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale that is a tour de force of talent, and a film that contains one of the darkest and most heartbreaking twists ever put to screen. (88.25/100)

With truly iconic performances, charming songs, and moving storytelling, 'Mary Poppins' proves itself to be practically perfect in every way. (99/100)
