The gruesome beatings of women were disgusting and much too realistic. They could have been left more to one's imagination. Casey Affleck's nasal whiney voice drives me nuts. The two stars are for a good cast in a horrible story.

It was okay. Characters were interesting. However, after having the snot beat out of him, killer manages to kill the huge guy in Florida, then immediately proceeds to outrun a pitbull across the yard. Further, he takes a couple blatantly ad placed ADVIL in his vehicle and is perfectly fine. Wish they worked that well on my aches and pains. Brutally ridiculous. Ending was meh.

Haven't seen it (I wanted to check out reviews before I watch it on Prime) but I must say that some reviewers are so darned condescending, stating you must be this or that (in much more frou frou language) to appreciate the movie. Gimme a break! And if it's anything like Tree of Life, which I hated, I think I'll skip it.

I've loved this show's previous seasons, but three episodes into final season have been mediocre, a major disappointment. Nothing interesting has happened but I'll watch it anyway just to see how it ends. Haven't invested six seasons for nothing.

I am wondering who Disney's target audience is for this film? I have only seen the trailer, but it looks a little too scary/creepy for youngsters.

I think it was okay, albeit a bit slow moving. I think Linus Roache should have played older Patrick and Rupert Everett should have played older Tom.

Much anticipated, deeply disappointing. The story could have been so much better with a more sultry female lead and a lot more suspense. The wife was too boppy and immature for the part. Should have followed the book more closely, especially the ending.

It was okay. Bit of a gloomy, boring storyline.

Marks for cast and acting, cinematography, camera work etc. Zero marks for the story. Why were the mafia type guys and their women always giving her the stink eye and acting menacing toward her? Why did the beginning lead me to believe she was shot (which as the movie went on I suspected would be by one of these guys over the doll) but truth was so far from it I was annoyed. I thought the doll was going to be full of drugs or diamonds or something else smuggled and that's why the big to do about getting it back. Nope. Just a worm inside it. A bunch of nonsense. Every single character was a selfish mess or an a-hole. Didn't care a whit for any of them. Even the nice kid she had dinner with turned out to be a louse. Hiss, boo.

Season 4 is the best one yet (though I have really liked them all). Excellent cast, especially Frances Fisher, a standout addition this season.
