I have used this book for many years now, and I do make some adjustments to the recipes. I love intense flavors, so when some of the recipes don't call for seasoning the fish/meat/chicken before cooking, I add salt, ginger, and garlic and let it sit in the fridge at least 15 minutes before cooking. Example: try this with the sweet and sour chicken! I'm going to make some right now.
With a couple tweaks to the directions, segmenting the ingredients according to the steps in the recipe, giving the timing for the different steps of the recipe.
