This isn't an album, it's a journey. One I am grateful to have been here for, it is delightfully presented, a poignant selection of discussions about youth and identity.
This is such a hard discussion I feel for many Australians to allow themselves to simply be part of, but we need to change that. I have been a citizen since 2011, I love Australia, it's my home, but it isn't perfect.
When I say we need to embrace change, I don't mean for any one else's benefit, I mean for our own gain at the core of it.
Miiesha touches on so many of the little things so many different groups within Australia experience regularly, sometimes small disadvantages on the surface, others may even seem like an outright advantage. I really encourage people though, before you judge anyone, or any group of humans, to open your heart and hear their stories first.
Humans are built to be afraid of different, this doesn't mean we should happily imprison ourselves in cages we've built for others. <3
