First time back in the cinema and the trailer for James Bond looks great.
However, I was there for Tenet. I really enjoyed Dunkirk, but with that film Nolan’s mathematical approach to directing was tied to real events. But I knew this would be different.
I believe that you should be able to enjoy a film from just one viewing and not have to see it again in the hope that all becomes clear. Nolan is a cold-hearted director and I kind of got what I expected.
I didn’t mind the volume, although it’s true that the dialogue gets obscured an awful lot. And then just when you think you’re getting the hang of it, they all start wearing masks! But from about halfway through I really didn’t care what was happening. And I left, at the end of the film feeling distinctly “Meh!”...
