I found this film disturbing and unsettling. Maud is described as a pious Nurse. But for me when you think about it following the film. It about a Nurse who is let down. We get glimpses to what happened in her past and not sure if Maud is at fault, or if she was let down by her work colleagues, the hospital, system etc, that led the incident to happen, with no support and basically she is hung out to dry. But this has affected Maud and its difficult to know what's reality and fictional and what's going on psychologically. The incident has obviously affected her and spiraled Maud to descent.
