I really and truly and enjoyed this film. While watching it, explicit memories of the Quentin Tarantino film The Hateful Eight were brought back to my memory via Goddard's uncanny similarities in premise, cast, and overall story.
Yet, while initially thinking in the beginning of the film that it was simply going to be essentially The Hateful Eight 2: Electric Boogaloo, I soon came to understand that while it was almost the same, there was a distinct feel and difference to it when compared to Hateful Eight. For instance, in Bad Times, the cast of characters each have their own very distinct motives, need for redemption (as referenced in the synopsis), and story, whereas in the Hateful Eight, the cast had their own stories and somewhat varied personalities while not always or sometimes not clearly explaining a character's motivations.
In short, this is a wonderful passion project that you should definitely watch if you enjoy the premise of strangers coming to a location and hell breaking loose.
