A wafer thin poor documentary that’s pretty to look at. Beautiful visuals do not equal good, interesting or effective storytelling. And while some of the photography is stunning, there are zero big questions tackled, explored or even pondered. This is simply an ad for manure. Who paid for this farm, the faceless workers, the equipment, the animals, the plants, and this film? How is climate change affecting the future of farming? How much and what kind of work is required daily? None of this is explored. My wife and I have grown food and raised animals on 30 acres for about three years and know far more and more deeply about these issues and the philosophy that keeps farmers farming.
