The movie was actually really well written. Definitely an interesting concept and a great plot. Not sure why the "critics" are so harsh on it but in my opinion it accomplishes 3 things: 1. It's entertaining, 2. It's got good actors and good performances 3. It's an original STORY.

Too much happens all too quickly. The third installment kinda invalidates episode 8. I feel like J.J had a hard task of trying to fix issues created by episode 9. Lots of great moments but the story felt convoluted
