I remember watching the first episode of Supernatural way back in 2006. Though I missed the first few episodes, which I managed almost 12 years later. It seems I have grown old with it like protagonists of the show. Then when I got busy with my professional life I lost the track, but when I went on a sabbatical during my 2nd peganancy, I happened to find it on Amazon Prime and the spark rekindled. This time I started from the first episode of the S:01.
I finished with the 14 seasons in a span of 2months flat. While watching it day in and day out I realised that the story is all about emotions where as the ghostly things are secondary (People have all the rights to disagree with my take) . Be it the rapport and relationship shared between Winchester: Father - son and the brothers (Sam n Dean). For me my fav line has been where Dean addresses Samuel as Sammy like he is his still lil brother and "I have to protect you, like any elder brother (just to share in a country like India where I belong from elder brothers are considered to be fatherly figures). So i can relate with this so much.
I also liked when Winchester feel that God is playing with them, and no matter what but 'they are rats in a maze' (S15: E01).
Oh how can I forget the sibling rivalry beautifully portrayed God and the Darkness. Concept of the two as the sides of a coin- Inseparable. Lot can be written but I would like to end by saying
Just in the end I would like to confess, "I liked Sam way back in 2006 when I started watching but in 2019 when I watched the series completely, my loyalty changed to Dean." I started liking his character of an Obedient son / responsible brother and a caring family man (episodes where he meets his long lost love). I'm sad it is going to end this season but that's how it is.. WATCHING supernatural has always been a Fun and I'm expecting the same from the last season.
