Initially, when I first read this book I was like "this is typical bland feminist trash." I saw Nora's epiphany as coming out of nowhere and just regarded it as meh.
However, when we read it together in college, I began to see the themes and Nora's gradual realization that her husband is a patriarchal scumbag. I also loved the commentary on "stock characters", with Mrs. Linde and Krogstad, and to be honest I love most literature with themes and recurring motifs and such. Overall it's pretty good.
