As a young adult I have to admit that I was extremely disappointed.
I wantched the movie with my mother (both of us are extrem movie lovers - I am 19, she is 43) and at some point during the movie we just wanted to get up and leave.
I do have to admit that it is beautifully made, the director did a wonderful job and the acting is flawless but the STORY itself is just so boring.
As someone who didn’t grow up watching movies from 1950, I simply did not understand what exactly should happen. For me the movie lacked real, heard worked Charakter development and a balanced story. I did not see the point in the violent ending eighter.
Most movie nowadays have kinda the same structure (the main character is set on a mission, the mission changes them in some way and then they either mange to finish it or not) since this movie did not have this structure, it was hard to see if they were even doing anything worthwhile.
Yes, the acting is great, the way it is filmed is beautiful and it is very well directed but the story is simply extremely boring.
