I am a devotee of 60 Minutes and have been for many years. Last night's (1/11/21) segment featuring Nancy Pelosi and the aftermath of the assault on our Capitol was very moving. However, when Lesley Stahl veered off to biting comments and questions about the Speaker's age, her (un)willingness to compromise or "groom" younger members of her party, I was appalled. The timing was totally inappropriate. In fact, an American friend from abroad called to say he wondered if there were something negative between the two women. Another friend (also from abroad) said that what Speaker Pelosi deserved at that moment was "a hug" not an interrogation.
